St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome – The Largest Church in the World

I will never forget the first time I saw St. Peter’s Basilica on a high school trip in 1985. It was a jaw-dropping experience that left me speechless. I knew it was going to be big, but I had no idea how big, enormous, ginormous it would be!

While living in Rome for 4 years, I was lucky enough to have this magnificent church only a 10-minute walk away! I would go in at least once a week just to stare at its beauty – especially the inside! There are so many amazing treasures just waiting to be discovered for a first time visitor!
