We have finally arrived! All over the world people come to hike the famous Cotton Castle of Pamukkale – and we are here!I was a crazy/hyper/bored/stressed navigator on our 3-hour drive from Didim to Pamukkale – I couldn’t wait to get out of the car and get some fresh air!We arrived at our hotel in the little town of Pamukkale and immediately went on our first adventure to the archaeological site of Laodikeia. Having seen a sign for the site on the side of the road coming into Pamukkale, we found our way there like pros and felt proud of ourselves for not getting lost.Loadikeia is an ancient town up on a hill overlooking the Pamukkale/Denizli valley – a great decision on behalf of the first settlers, the view is amazing!The majority of the site hasn’t been excavated yet and there are hills and hills around…
